Présentation

EHLOME is organised by the association of Youth Alliance for Scenic Arts: it is a festival of choirs and musical groups which takes place in Lomé, (West Africa). Its headquarters is in Lomé, the capital of Togo.

EHLOME which signifies “Beyond the Vocal chords” in the Togolese local language got its root in 2005 with the constant idea that Togolese music bound from Africa are overwhelmed/ gulped down and are transformed into religious songs.

What can be done to remove choral songs from churches and to permit every population to benefit the good things of this art?

This is the motive of Y.A.S.A(AJAS) which has pushed them to organise this first appointment of choirs in the Togolese capital.

EHLOME 2009 mobilised choristers, musicians, and artistic technicians of different countries and took place from May 09th till May 24th, 2009 in LOMÉ TOGO

The next edition is envisaged for May 2011.
